It was important to me to give Jamie a proposal she would remember forever. But it needed to be my own.

I didn't want to do the fancy dinner because she would figure out what was going on early in the evening. And renting the scoreboard at Safeco Field was a bit out of my price range. So I decided to stick to the medium I knew and worked with on a daily basis.

Twitterpated had always been a inside joke between us. If you don't know what it means, watch the movie Bambi. My original intentions were to give her a website for Valentine's Day. But after considerable thought the web made the most sense for my proposal.

I created the Flash movie and told Jamie there was a neat site I found one day just messing around. And it was even named Twitterpated.net. Then got her online and to the site itself.

Obviously, since you are visiting the site it worked well.

Although, Jamie almost missed the concept.

While she was watching the proposal, all she kept thinking about was how this song would be great for our wedding.

Oblivious to the purpose of the site, she almost missed the ending of the proposal and the words that changed our lives.

The song I chose was "The Colour of My Love" by Celine Dion. I had this song in the back of my mind for a long time for this very purpose. The photographs are all from Kim Anderson. Both were used without expressed written permission and I hope I don't hear from a lawyer about it.
